The Coen Brothers

A bit late but...
Did anyone else see that documentary about them on BBC2 the other night? I was disappointed that it wasn't preceeding one of their films, but it was still interesting to see how they work together (apparently via some form of telepathy) and to learn that they struggled with writer's block over Miller's Crossing (my least favourite of their films). Their films are just so perfect. They can go from slapstick to the grimmest humour in a second and make it work.
Hm, perhaps I should've added this to the "Americans just don't understand comedy" thread...

Love, love, love the Coens. Taped the docu, haven't seen it yet. Have to say Miller's Crossing is one of my faves but there you go. Most people think Barton Fink is their greatest - I've always preferred the others (not that it isn't great) esp. Hudsucker Proxy, Fargo, and Raising Arizona. Anything they do is fine by me - can't wait to see 'O Brother Where Art Thou?'

Just a reminder to those of you cursing the fact that since they've brought out set-top boxes, TV manufacturers started rounding their set tops - Barton Fink is on Film Four at 8pm tomorrow.
Pity I'm going to be out for at least the first half-hour and the video's buggered :(
