1977 Posted Sat Sep 9 17:43:06 BST 2000 by Justin

So, what are we waiting for tonight?

*Ainsley Harriott does his best singing "Complete Control" by The Clash
*Jamie Theakston remembers watching X-Ray Spex at the 100 Club in short trousers
*Wayne Hemingway wanes lyrical about a shirt made in 1977.
*Stuart Maconie reasons, controversially, that Smokie weren't quite as good as The Buzzcocks.
*The stars try to remember Laff-A-Lympics, and on seeing a clip, realise it wasn't very good.

etc.

Lynsey De Paul will be mentioned I'll warrant, THAT BITCH!

That was the year I was born

That means you are either at the age of 22 or 23, depending which month you were born in.

I'm 22 too. I loathe and despise that blonde bitch Lynsey De Paul because that was the year she first cropped up on 'New Faces' or something. My parents thought "Ooh, Lynsey, what a nice name", unfortunately, so did 15 other set of parents of children in our school catchment area.

I know it's a rather petty and personal grudge, but hey, I've got to have at least one!

Lynsey and Mike Moran were the UK's Eurovision entrants in 1977.

Coulda been worse then, they could've called me Mike!

[Puzzled:] so how come you're called Suii then?

And how come Dr H is called Dr H???

He went to medical school. And his parents were Mr and Mrs H.

That's weird -- James was born in 1977 and so was I. Maybe I should invest in a different name.

Tis a shortened version of an old forum name, which was too long to type too often, it was originally just shortened to 'Sui' but I got bored one day and bought a couple of vowels!

Suiii, you don't LOOK like Lynsey De Paul, do you?

No, but I have impressive jugs!! Haven't you seen my facelink?

Posted By TJ on Tue Sep 12 16:02:57 BST 2000:

Yes, I saw and was impressed!

But isn't 'facelink' a bit of a false advertisment then, given that your face is nowehere to be seen?

Anonymity is very easy to preserve. When asked for a photo, I usually produce one of Nick Heyward, which I am led to believe is pretty much indistibguishable from the real thing.

By the way, Suiii, I used your photo as my desktop wallpaper. I hope you don't mind.

I'm flattered *laughs* When asked for a piccy of my face I generally refer the person to a picture of the late Roy Kinnear, or a Findus Crispy Pancake, which are far more interesting!

Yeah, but if you had to pick a celeb that you actually genuinely honestly resemble, then who would it be?

I've already admitted to Nick Heyward...

I'd prefer it if you looked like Liza Tarbuck...

Look like Jamie Theakston. There's loads of TV work in it.
