Punt and Dennis have done an ad for Vauxhall on XFM - hideous!
The R4 show is the Now Show. It's had a couple of series.
I *think* that was either the fourth or the fifth series. The idea seems to be to average about two a year.
Is it me, or has the show actually become quite good passes-the-time entertainment? I used to hate it because it was a kind of sprawling anti-Mary Whitehouse Experience: same producer and practically the same format, but mysteriously working in reverse and ending up as far less than the sum of its parts. But this recent series, with the smaller, tighter cast and the less ambitious reach, seemed to work better. It's obviously quite cosy and inconsequential in a Radio 4 kind of way, but this time round they somehow made a virtue of it. Having Mitch Benn instead of Dan and Nick helped. (Holmes & Hurst are beginning to alarm me, though -- they have actually *become* Lee & Herring. I don't tend to agree with the Corpses' "Year Zero" hypothesis and I wish people would stop confirming it).
