"It was announced earlier today that the popular North-West Region Regional news magazine bonanza is to be replaced. Although there is no permanent replacement lined up, Granada bosses have hinted at several ideas in the pipe-line. "Metal Adventures in Rocket Time" is to be a series of feature length cartoons featuring the mid-80s adventures of Heavy Metal funsters Saxxon. Aided in their adventures by the news beast, it is hoped that this could be a cross-age-group news platform to educate children and the elderly, whilst at the same time blasting the middle-aged with animated news. The villains are thought to include Wolfsbane and Def Leppard.
Further specualtion as to whether a prime-time slot return for "Guess the Fist" with Banarama, are as yet, unconfirmed.
