Who hasn't shown up yet since the great disaster? Simon, Ewar, subbes... we're all here, aren't we?

What about Bean is a carrot and One Day Soon? They had esteemed red names and everything.
Also wasn't there two comedians, who had slots on the radio and, possibly TV? One of them named after a fish of something (sorry)? Or are they distancing themselves from this?

Is it really as serious as it seems? Why did they have to pull down the whole of the website? Surely not all of it could have breeched copyright. If they hadn't pulled it down would they really have faced prosecution? Does anyone know anything about internet law?

Dunno.
SOTCAA seems to be gone for good, as there isn't even a message where it used to be.

> Surely not all of it could have breeched copyright.

We don't even know if that's the reason why it was taken down.

> If they hadn't pulled it down would they really have faced prosecution? Does anyone know anything about internet law?

Basic law acts in favour of those affected by slander.

Still looking, PJ, just not talking. Jon emailed me to ask if any of my pals in the world of comedy knew anything about the SOTCAA closure. The answer is no, and anyway I think the copyright explanation seems more likely. I doubt any one comedian who felt slightly aggrieved by what was on here would have frightened Rob and The Corpses enough to make them remove it all. Anyway most of the abuse was in the forum (initially I wondered whether it was all the swearing) and that seems to be the only bit that survives. Maybe they were keeping secret stashes of illegal materials hidden deep within the site disguised as old Joyce Grenfell monologues?

Disappointed to see it go, though. This forum suddenly seems very isolated. It's almost like being on Big Brother...
