And plus: Kid Rock is inherrently funny. As are Korn and Slipknot.
*muttered*
wankers, all of them.
MTV did a '100 best videos of the millennium' last year and played the vid to this. It's terrific, as are many of her vids, esp. 'Bachelorette' and, can't remember it's name (d'oh) but it was made by the people who do Ren and Stimpy. Spike Jonze directed 'It's All So Quiet' and that's a bit of a corker too.
But have you seen Aphex Twin's 'Windowlicker'?
Not yet. I may have seen a clip, if it features a young child dressed as a demon in white powder screaming at people.
Not entirely sure I want to see the full edit after that...
On the other hand, NIN are up for an award this year, I think. Distinctly worrying.

"I Miss You", I believe it was. Top tune, top vid.
Al - one word: Moops. (Thanks for getting those Seinfelds back.)
Both 'All Is Full Of Love' and 'Windowlicker' directed by the excellent Chris Cunningham, of course. Windowlicker being the video featuring buxom lovelies with Aphex Twin's distorted face. The one with the small children with, er, Aphex Twin's distorted face was 'Come To Daddy'.
Chris Cunningham said to be directing a proper movie of Neuromancer. Could be good.
'Neuromancer' is only good because Gibson coined the word 'cyberpunk' within it. The novel is astonishingly ordinary beyond that. Cunningham will have to do a *very* good job.
Love his work though - the only video director who makes me jealous. I preceded a showcase of his at the Scala last year with my £10 budget stuff. I felt meek.

A little harsh. The original 'Neuromancer' trilogy are quite tightly written thrillers, wit an incredibly prescient backdrop. They have suffered somewhat from being alluded to by various slag Grauniad and other broadsheet hacks who've never read the damn things looking for zeitgeisty copy (yawn.) I think ''Virtual Light' is his best.
>See, bizarre nordic (or is it icelandic? icelandic i think) midgets are good for something after all.
I'd have said troll rather than midget. She's not pretty enough to be a moomin.
The video for Madonna's "Music" ("Is you... Madonna?") contains a few nods in the direction of Cunningham's "Windowlicker"...
Aw, I think bjork's lovely.
The windowlicker video is great - the full 11 minute version (or whatever) is the best though - great hip-hop pisstake at the beginning. I downloaded it from some website, but i can't remember it's name...
The channel 4 'mirrorball' documentary showcased most of his video's - all fantastic in a similar sort of way. Didn't show the Auteurs one, though...
About time he made a film though.
The full 'Windowlicker' vid is on one of the CD singles. You can also buy it separately. If you really really want it, I suggest you talk to Warp. (While you're at it, see if you can get anything out of them about the forthcoming 'Blue Jam' release...)
