Tony Hendra

Does anybody out there know whether he's still alive?
Hendra is best known as 'Ian Faith' (the blonde squinty cricket bat-wielding manager in 'Spinal Tap'). He was part of the original Cambridge Footlights (along with Cleese, Chapman, etc) and wrote scripts for That Was The Week That Was before defecting to the US to be part of National Lampoon (he edited the magazine for years and contributed some brilliant music parodies including a perfect Lennon pisstake called 'Magical Misery Tour').
Recently found a 1964 LP called 'The Art Of Tony Hendra and Nick Ullett' which boasted a live performance of this duo at the Edmundo Ros Club and sleevenotes by Jackie Mason.
Involved in the inception of Spitting Image until personality/ego clashes between himself and John Lloyd drove him back to America.
Last seen (by us at least) playing one of the bad guys in Whoopie Goldberg's 'Jumping Jack Flash'.
The reason we ask if he's still alive is that he wasn't involved in any of the Spinal Tap reunion stuff. Also, when asked during that reunion (in character) what was 'the story' behind Ian Faith, David StHubbins (Lead Guitar) answered 'The story is death. He's dead. Ian was a wretched man...'
Dead or alive, he's tops. Really looking forward to the alternate Tap footage.
Does anybody know anything else about Mr Hendra?

According to the Spinal Tap DVD (with a track where the main cast talk over the film) they got involved in a dispute with Hendra. This involved Hendra a newspaper advert for a theatre show he was in, which underneath the title said "starring Tony Hendra - Creator of Spinal Tap." An "oversight" according to Hendra. As far as I know, he is still alive.
ps/ He was also the man came up with the title for Not The Nine O'Clock News.
