Probably just optimistic. Paul Jackson pushed for a 30th anniversary evening in November, but Root blocked it. As yet she hasn't been decent enough to give a reason for this, but given she's a mad faminist lezza we can assume it's some confused PC justification. Or like Street Porter in 1987, she's blocking anything she doesn't like regardless of popular demand. Remember that no Goodies episode has been screened on the BBC since 1986.
The 1975 evening was to host a screening of 'Ecky Thump', but the scrapping of that is old news as was the repeat run to accompany the Seventies season.
Still, if Grayfunkel wants to stick with optimism then so will I.
>The 1975 evening was to host a screening >of 'Ecky Thump', but the scrapping of that
*sheep cries*

Oh how embarrassing, PJ promised an anniversary repeat of theme night at the recording of the 'In conversation with' programme featuring Tim and Graeme. Apparently he had costed the series out and had found out that repeats would be cheap.
>As yet she hasn't been decent enough to give a reason for this, but given she's a mad faminist lezza we can assume it's some confused PC justification.
Who knows the way of these faminists? Whatever they are. Family orientated Goody-haters maybe? :-)
Still it was nice to see The Good Life again, as I'm sure that this episode hadn't been aired for at least two months. Really disappointing that most 'I love the 70s' repeats are stuff that the BBC are repeating anyway.
Having just read the article which is at http://www.guardianunlimited.co.uk/Archive/Article/0,4273,4053881,00.html I think Graeme was joking about Goodies repeats and making a comment about the BBC's committment to NOT repeating The Goodies. Come on! The man's talking about Pencil Musuems for fuck's sake!
>The man's talking about Pencil Musuems for fuck's sake!
You're right, I think he is taking the piss, but there is indeed a pencil museum in Keswick.
I have the pencil to prove it.
Do they have "ample" car park facilities?
Yeah, there's a few million acres of National Park, no-one's using that.

Do you have the address? And how can I get there?
>I have the pencil to prove it.
Oh goody! (Excuse the pun!)
In the Radio Times article we mention that nobody can change the decisions of a gushing middle-class, middle-aged woman. Such suggestions aren't taken by these people as 'this is an incorrect decision' but 'this decision reflects your entire life'. Basically, the twat turned down the idea of a Goodies anniversary so now even the slightest hint of a repeat will claw at her very being. She will fight to the death over her initial decision despite how many Phill Jupituses cackle about 'ow great i' was...
This isn't mysoginy incidentally. It's anthropology, pure and simple (as a great social commentator once said).
The Goodies was once shown on UK Gold, but it was cut.
Then it appeared on UK Arena, also cut.
Then UK Arena disappeared, so bang go our chances of seeing it in any form whatsoever.
>The Goodies was once shown on UK Gold, but it was cut.
Not totally true - first time around UKG showed it complete because they weren't allowed to edit it. For the tea time two-parters they cut it with gay abandon. Check the upcoming SOTCAA Goodies articles for bawling hatred.
>Then it appeared on UK Arena, also cut.
6 or 7 minutes at a time, but then it was only series four onwards....all those poor sods who have never seen 'Radio Goodies' I seriously pity.
And now, 'A Walk In The Black Forest'...
I once had the misfortune to work for such a "gushing, middle-class woman" as you describe, Joe, and she picked on a harmless, younger woman there for a couple of months, then proceeded to have a nervous breakdown.
It's clearly a "type".
