YOU'RE ALL MISSING THE POINT Posted Mon Aug 28 02:00:23 BST 2000 by Never you mind

Despite the fact that Dave Gorman and Danny Wallace may, as you state, live together, the truth is that Dave Gorman is a genuinely talented and original, intelligent, articulate comedian. I am no fan of the predictably aggressive Avalon marketing behind lots of the comedians - which is particularly evident at the Edinburgh Festival each year. Dozens of acts arrive with ridiculously OTT quotes of praise on the publicity material. The fact remains that if the likes of The Boosh, Al Murray (last year) and Dave Gorman can rise above it, get good reviews and genuinely strong word of mouth from people who pay, and in the cases below, Perrier nominations then they must be quite good. Personally I have never so much as raised a smile at the antics of Lee Mack but the fact remains that, despite the plethora of good acts who miss out on due success, bad acts don't get nominated for the Perrier.

And the same goes for Simon Pegg. He's good.

Iain Lee I'll agree with you on, though. Drab.

You agree with us about Iain Lee? Whoo - that's brave of you.

I'll address your point when you've read the 'SOTCAA Forum - Do You Care' thread.

And not before.
