Rory Ford, bolshy hero of Jon Ronson's 'Critical Condition' (see COMMENT) was last heard on Radio 4's 'Heau Heau Heau' (co-produced by Danny Wallace), politely 'chasing up a quote from Lee Mack on his Perrier nomination...' and gushing sweetly about Dave Gorman. He was very pleased, especially after said Gorman had been 'hotly tipped' the previous year. He went on to use this cliché a few more times while generally clearing away paperclips and tapping his desk-tidy.

Yes, I share Rory's amazment at Dave Gorman's exclusion from last year's short list. He would of stood a good chance with such impartial people on the panel such as, er... Danny Wallace.
