Hundreds of people hit on this site Posted Fri Aug 25 13:00:42 BST 2000 by Jon

...but how many are just looking for pictures of dead bodies?

Maybe that's why they don't bother writing in the Forum.

Hundreds of people hit on this site, but it won't go out with them. It has very high standards.

Anyway, I resent the implication that I spend my lunchtimes in here. I spend my lunchtimes in record shops. I spend my DAYS on here...

It is quite incredible. When I put my little Russell Peters link up I got so many hits from people who seemed to suddenly come from nowhere. There must be such a huge silent community in this forum.

Personally i have read it. And enjoyed it.
I enjoy comedy and i enjoy the points of view of people who post here.
Is that such a crime?
And whats wrong with havig a "bidovalarf" anyway?

I cna't blieve hundreds of people come to this site, and all the owners can do is hit them? Honestly, i'm glad they hae'nt noticed me - i don't want a slap.

What's wrong with a bit of a laugh? Ask Dan.

Of course, all this begs the question: if the increasingly bilious Corpses hate their own forumgoers with such a passion, why the roaring fuck did they set up a comedy forum in the first place? (I'm not talking about the ident stuff, before anyone starts...)

The Corpses' devastating and incisive parody of their own forum indicates that they're a bit disappointed with us: clearly they were expecting much better material, and we've let them down by just constantly posting the first thing that flops into our heads. From now on it's meticulously crafted comedy vignettes from the lot of us, or they'll really start getting vicious on the Comment pages. (The theory that the Corpses work in the industry has gone for a Burton, though: if they've got enough time to sit down and work on a parody of their own chat-room then they clearly have FAR too much of it on their hands.)

Yes, people do come to this site for "a bit of a laugh". That's more than the Corpses appear to get from it at the moment. Cheer the fuck up, for God's sake.

Ooooh - who can't take a joke then?

Mogwai wasn't in the parody, that's why he's pissing blood.

Corpses - we know you love us really. And if you don't, we're not really bothered.

We are necessary anyhow just to remind the corpses that the world really does need drastic changes.

Quite so. For example, there shouldn't be a platform for excitable youngsters who are fascinated by Keith Allen's undercarriage.

Found it.

You wouldn't believe how much you miss when you go on holiday.
Quite disappointed I wasn't in it...

Yes. You did. Just then. And every other fucking time you post here.

Personally, I think the Corpses are stuck for ideas over this "direct action" and so they're trying to provoke some out of us. Do your own sodding homework you bunch of lazy internet slags.

Don't see why the forum shouldn't be parodied too. A few forum persons have parodied / criticised SOTCAA have they not? It's all part of one glorious whole...

Hear hear. Loved the Nietzche ref.

Was it actually by the Corpses though? I detect the hand of Nietzche himself in the writing style. Mentioning himself is obviously a clever double bluff (typical of a lot of his work).

Maybe it's just me. Really tired at the moment. 'Mein Kamf' spoken word recording sessions for BBC Worldwide (Autumn release - plug over!) - very tiring.

Laters - off to commit genocides.

On the plus side, it shows someone cares enough to parody the forum. Though that was quite obvious from the way you deigned to post in reply to tell us it was better when it was merely an idea in someone's head rather than a media spectacle that has somehow become so many times worse fpr being shared.

Hmm. Pretzel sentance.

What about if the Joe half of Sotcaa makes fun of the forum contributers, while the Mike half makes fun of SOTCAA itself? Then it would save everyone else the trouble...

...You pair of twats.
