Does anybody find it strange that, as soon as theres a redname posting by either the Corpses or somebody related, that theres usually an anonymous posting immediately afterwards, almost as if to disguise the fact?

That was me. I wasn't trying to disguise the red name. I was passing comment on their sub-comedy.

No, I just wanted to say that that particular attempt at humour by the Corpes, isn't funny. It's formulaic parody, sprinkled with inside jokes, and designed to piss people off.

They should get back to edit news.

That's the thing that galls me about most of the postings on here - they seem intrinsically negative towards people from the Second World War. I mean, come on, girls. Try and keep your feet on the ground, yeah? I'm thick-skinned enough to take criticism ('The Nazis - A Warning From History' anyone?) but automatically dissing stuff in a transparent attempt to hang onto the coat-tails of Herring, Pegg and Gorman (using their words instead of formulating opinions of your own) - now that's the real fascism.

I'm disappointed, frankly. Ah well.

My ears tell me that Hitler will walk away with the Perrier War Award tonight. He wasn't eligible last year (something about being able to fill large rallies - the idiots!), but he's been reinstated at last.

About a year or so ago, I sent a question to that Funny talk rubbish and got no reply. After about a month I sent an e-mail to Danny Wallace saying "Why didn't you answer my question about JOKERS WILD, you cunt?"

He reply was, in its entirety, "I don't remember receiving one." I wonder what we can learn from that.

What's the point? Dave Gorman reckons we know nothing at all about how comedy is made anyway... And he should know. He's a successful, professional comedian.

I personally think that Hitler is a very worthwhile contributor to this forum. He's obviously part of the profession and knows a lot of inside info about what we're talking about. Comments like anonymous's are just going to drive him away from the site (yeah, big deal, I hear you say).

I know what's gonna happen now - we'll be accused of being Hitler's 'lap-dogs' or being 'sycophantic' for defending him on this forum. Well look, obviously we don't agree with all the genocide stuff (if only for the fact that it's been done to death elsewhere) but you can't deny that the bloke has a certain charisma, whatever you might think of his act. You try getting on stage in front of tens of thousands of people at Nuremburg. It takes a lot of guts. I certainly couldn't do it.

Whatever - that's what the forum's for, I know, encouraging different opinions on stuff. I'm just worried that if you're this personal in your attacks then we may be deprived of yet another really good (and hard-working) fascist dictator.

I agree. This bloke at work with me knows Hitler personally and he reckons that those old bits of newsreel don't show the full story anyway - most of the best bits are cut out. I imagine he's essentially somebody you have to experience live anyway. You can't judge Hitler by documentaries and propaganda films alone.

Only fair to point out that Meta is actually doing work experience at the National Front at the moment.
