ROOM 102
New vehicle from Hat Trick Productions starring Phill Jupitus. Each week, a guest celebrity chooses some items they have no particular opinion about. (Fridays 10pm, from October)
LAMARR'S ATTACKS NIGHT
A whole evening of programmes centred around the latest comedy semi-sensation. Includes behind-the-scenes footage, plus favourite moments from the production team. (Saturday 23 September from 8pm)
PATTI
Variety show of music and comedy starring Patti Smith and her guests. In the first show, she is joined by David Jason for a sideways look at overcrowded trains, before they join forces on a moving duet of "Piss Factory". Written by Neil Shand and Patti Smith. (Sundays, 8.30, from September)
WE ARE WELSH PEOPLE WHO SODOMISE SHEEP
Following on from the reasonable success of The Fitz, this is a bit the same only it's got Welsh people in it instead. Featuring the bloke who said "Look Fawlty we want our things" in a cameo role purely so that people of a certain age can make that exact observation and feel extremely pleased with themselves. (Tuesdays 10pm, from September)
CAKES
Bleak sketch show made by Tiger Aspect which they were developing about five years ago, no honestly. Most sketches feature lots of interior designers developing malignant tumours. (Sundays 2.35am, from October)
I GET AROUND
New quiz about transport made by TalkBack, and hosted by Jeff Green, with team captains Robert Mark and Reg Varney. Includes a round where the teams have to ride a bike or something - blindfolded! (Thursdays 9pm, from December)
LOWRI
Hilarious new sitcom about a self-satisfied TV presenter who pretends she got where she is today without a shred of nepotism, until she is hilariously revealed to have a Welsh artist of a father called Brian. Also starring Victoria Coren as her slightly thinner friend. (Thursdays 8.30, from October)
HA HA! YOU WERE IN TOTO COELO, YOU STUPID BITCH!
Spin-off from Never Mind The Buzzcocks in which the usual crew shout and throw horseshit at a stupid bitch from not-particularly-good-but-hardly-offensive early 80s pop group Toto Coelo. In the first programme, the gang hit Bob Holness's daughter straight between the eyes. Written by lots of writers. (Fridays, to coincide with eighth beer, from November)
SEINFELD
The entire eighth and ninth series crammed into 25 minutes by playing the tapes faster. It's more hectic than ever. (Tuesday 25th October 2007, 1.35am)

Nice to see they've brought forward the screening of Seinfeld - and added an extra three minutes too. I had it for Tuesday 3rd August 2009 at 11.35 to 11.58 p.m. (Weather is at 11.58 p.m.)

Having a go at Toto Coelo is a played-out, 90s comedy idea. Everyone's moved onto Haysee Fantaysee.

Anyway, here's a better one...
ATTACK LAMARRS
Mark Lamarr, Hedy Lamarr, and Jean Lamarr (Canadian singer, who inspired ML to adopt stage name) are all tied to posts in the studio and attacked verbally by the team members in a way that makes Gail Porter's treatment on NMTB seem like an audience with the Pope. Whichever team is deemed to have been most appallingly abusive wins the right to burn a Lamarr of their choice. Hosted by Radio 4's Laurie Taylor. (runs for 3 episodes)

Seriously, Justin, I love you. Really. Will you elope with me to our very own little forum in the country? You could explain what's wrong with current BBC scheduling while I gaze over my knitting in awed wonder...<sigh>

Blimey - anyone who knows anything about me outside this site will have groaned "Oh no, as if he doesn't bang on about it enough already". Thanks for legitimising yet more ranting, Ewar. Brightened up a tedious afternoon at work, believe me.
I was going to 'do' a Channel 4 one until it occurred to me that they'll just be commissioning programmes involving the cast of Big Brother (and I refuse to even bother to know their names). Oh, and probably a bleak sketch show called "Dust" made by Hat Trick and starring....I dunno....Jeremy Hardy?!

It's actually "Bacteria", starring Lee Hurst.
