lo-band site

Rob - for technical reasons I'm stuck with a crappy 28.8 modem. Starting the site is bad enough but picking through the sections to find the new bits is a real pain (great Ronson transcript, though, Corpses - although you forgot to mention Rory's excellent glasses).
Could you maybe do a low-band version of the front-page and articles that doesn't require 5 minutes to download?
Pretty please?

Hmm, a tricky one this... I could try and cut down the front of the site a bit (something I am looking into)... the Flash would probably stay as we use it for a number of reasons. As for the articles, it's a lot harder. I know some of them are very large, but if I tried to break the up over several pages it would be even harder to keep the site up to date... it's all a balancing act I'm afraid.

The site's great, of course! But how about an HTML-only index to the articles or something? And maybe put the time of the last site update at the top of the Forum so those of us who just type
http://mudhole.spodnet.uk.com/~frogger/corpses/forum/index.html
will know if they're missing any action?
