Ianucci's New Show Posted Wed Aug 16 09:30:18 BST 2000 by Jon

I only read the bit about this in the 11OCS article the other day. Any more news about it?

I thought Armistice was OK in parts and quite good sometimes. But it did have trouble in por news weeks.

I've always enjoyed all of Armando's previous projects, so I'm giving this one the benefit of the doubt until I actually see it. Shows shouldn't be judged on pilots anyway - the pilot for "The Day Today" was reputedly unsatisfactory, and the one for "Doctor Who" is genuinely awful. Fluffed dialogue, cliched lines, automatic doors refusing to close...

I did hear that Armando's series was due late September/early October - anyone know any more?

Apparently, Iannucci recently told someone who knows someone etc etc that it'll be "news-based, but not as obviously so". Whatever that means.

Well, the Corpses' source doesn't think much of it, apparently (see article).

Yeah, but like I said, that _was_ only the pilot...
