ITV - What A Performance & Kevin Eldon Posted Tue Aug 15 22:46:09 BST 2000 by sheep

I've just been watching What A Performance on ITV (it's rare I'd admit to watching anything on ITV). But since it's had the likes of Milligan and Harry Hill is coming up, it seems quite good this week. There was a short clip before the break of one Kevin Eldon, as a mad professor/Dr Jekyll type drinking some strange concotion, then reacting in various odd ways (including mumbling "I'll get you butler").

Any idea what show this was from? Was it one of his Comedy Nation bits?

It's from "Big Train", but don't say I told you. We're not supposed to like that show round these parts...

I always though Big Train would be better without the laugh track, which is how the sketches were shown in the trailers.

And does anyone remember Chris Morris in it? I don't.

CM isn't in it as such. if you look at the Blue Jam/Jam article in the edit news section, it says he directed the pilot, but left to do his own show - he does the voice-over on one sketchm, i think

I personally like to cherish a belief that he plays prince in that sketch.

I think if you edited Big Train down to a 30-minute special (instead of a 6-part series) it would have been brilliant.

Mind you, someone once said that about 'Thompson'...
