I'm sure they must just make it up, although i did see a programme about it oncem where a middle aged woman got the chance of taking part.
Can't they get accurate figures now that everyone's getting digital?
I assumed they'd found a way to work it into that, such as an inbuilt feature in the set top boxes...
Then again, I know little about these matters.

They have - if you have a $ky box, it calls $ky up a few times a day to tel them what you've been watching.
However, most people don't have $ky, so the information doesn't say what the population as a whole is watching, only that portion of it watching on $ky.
