Yes, I heard that too.
Bonnie always seems so meek.
Out of the two, I give ms Langford more respect than Chris Moyles.
Populist twat seems too good a term for him.
ahh. Abuse.

Me too.
But I'll bet neither of you have seen the last six episodes of 'Trial of a Timelord'. I say, Go Chris!
'Paradise Towers'?
>Apparently, Chris Moyles was doing a Radio 1 Roadshow at some seaside resort the other day, and he'd slagged off the local theatre for putting on a summer season with Bonnie Langford and Bernie Clifton.
He mentioned this on his show on Friday. Bernie Clifton wrote him a letter saying something like "When you can say you've entertained three generations of the same family, then you can call yourself a man". He got Johnh Culshaw to read it out in a range of comedy voices. Moyles is a complete arse.
Never mind the Sidney Carton heroics. You're not signing on as a martyr yet.
Good old Bonnie.
"Is this true, or an extremely recently-hatched urban myth? I have stopped reading the papers, though, so could probably be fooled by any story at all now."
You should switch to an R4-only policy, like me... grow up!

For our younger readers: please note, there is nothing "big" or "clever" about listening to Radio 4.

The Moral Maze: Just Say No
You And Yours
Anything's better.
Ned Sherrin: The Hidden Menace
Your Things.
It's To Do With You.
John Peel: Not So Cuddly After All.
Radio Four - together we *can* fight this.
New 4, New Danger
Hold on, what about "Just a Minute"? It's great, surely.
Nicholas Parsons: Ex-Transvestite, Can't Be Normal
(NB: all comments meant purely for humorous intent (I quite liked Just A Minute). i.e. if Dan L comes in and starts having a go at me for not appreciating that people can be 'different', i may let fly with a salvo of nasty words.)
And of course, I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue.
Woman's Hour is usually reasonably listenable, and A Good Read (celebs discuss books) is always reliable for deranged guest combinations - my favourite was the one with Simon Bates and Will Self.
Re: "A Good Read"
It was also good when it had Rob Newman and Some Posh Woman Writer.
And also the one with Griff Rhys-Jones and Paul Merton.
But not the one with Toyah Wilcox and Some Other Loser.
I'll defend John Peel up to a point (though I'm aggreived that he's denied me a chance to listen to comedy at 11pm on a Monday evening where a revised repeat of his show now lives). It's pleasant to wake up to Radio 4 on a Saturday morning, half asleep and listen to inane ramblings on the radio. Peel's got a good radio voice.
