V2000 Chelmsford Posted Thu Aug 10 09:27:56 BST 2000 by Ailie

I have a ticket to V2000 Chlemsford on Sunday 20th August.

I didn't really want to go in the first place and now I can't go, due to work commitments.

Don't really know what to do with the ticket, but if someone wants to make me a reasonable offer....

Yes, yes, I *know* this is a TV forum, but I can't find anyone who can go and I thought I'd try this on the off chance.

Acts appearing (cut and paste job from another site) include:

Travis
Macy Gray
Ocean Colour Scene
All Saints
Semisonic
Bootleg Beatles
Andreas Johnson
Morcheeba
Supergrass
Mansun
Bloodhound Gang
Jurassic 5
Saint Etienne
Dum Dums
Underworld
Flaming Lips
Moloko
Bentley Rhythm Ace
MJ COLE
Soulwax
Hefner
Manchild
Jamelia
Les Negresses Vertes

Plus other acts!

If you're interested, please e-mail me.

I think you've got your days muddled up. That's the line-up for the Saturday in Chelmsford - the SUnday features the horrendous prospect of R Ashcroft, P Weller and Toploader shaaring a stage. Erm.. I think Moby and Leftfield and Death In Vegas are on then as well. Erm.

Hey, does anyone fancy meeting up at Reading to throw things at Ross Noble?

"V2000 Chelmsford" - didn't that have Jimmy Mulville in it?

I'd go to Reading to throw things at Oasis... but they'll probably be too busy fighting to notice. If they're still going by then...

Re: Oasis

Even if they break up, they'll have to do a cabaret comeback within 5 years to pay their tax bills (cf. Happy Mondays)

No one wants Gallagher solo albums. No one cared about the others when they had their own bands.

Oasis lack the "middle aged men dancing stupidly" abilities of the Happy Mondays though, maybe someone should write Bez and Shaun a sitcom, i'd watch it.

"I DON'T LIKE MONDAYS!"

Hilarious sitcom set in Manchester's unfashionable Moss Side, featuring Shaun Ryder as drug-dealer-turned-pop-star-turned-Star-columnist-turned-screenwriter(supposedly) Shaun Ryder, and Mark "Bez" Berry as his social worker. This week: the boys decide to buy some crack and get shot!

Bez could become a mime artist, just standing in Leicester Square dancing to "step on" all day long in an everlasting series of "running on the spot" dance moves...

i must get around to reading Shaun Rider's autobiography i'm sure it's hilarious

Monday 24th June 1992:

Got up, got drunk, got high, dumped a sofa out of the 15th story of a hotel, split the band up because i couldn't get any Kellogs Ricicles

They ought to re-make the A-team with Noel Gallagher as Hannibal, Shaun Ryder as BA, Bez as Murdoch and, err...shit, where are they gonna get a pretty boy from?

Johnny Marr or Morrissey most likely.

moaning about the lack of mirrors in the van, and about the old ladies who stare and point at them in the street
