Channel 4 News Posted Wed Aug 9 09:18:50 BST 2000 by Richard

Many TV programmes have an IMDB page. Including Channel 4 News (apart from the fact that some stupid Yanks thought it was a regional programme from LA and infested it with their own presenters even though it quite clearly says 'UK').

But what is interesting is the comments page where certain people have 'reviewed it' Very funny. Don't IMDB check these things? I'm glad they don't!

The comments on IMDb are very funny...
does anyone remember, though, that the cinematic trailer for the Clint Eastwood film "Pale Rider" used the theme for Ch4 news, but to my knowledge, it never actually appeared in the film. Almost incredible wouldn't you say?

I normally manage to stop myself from laughing at the screen when I'm in a net cafe.. oh dear..

My favourite, for those people not bothered to read the page: "I love this film. First time I saw it I couldn't get over how Snow keep a straight face delivering his punchlines. The plot is a bit basic, set in a fictional television studio with Snow and others pretending to read the news, where in fact, and this is the bit that gets me, what they don't know is it really is the news. Yes, the real news. Like GroundHog Day, each day is similar but you can tell Snow begins to suspect something is up. He'll occasionally grin stupidly at the camera (Truman Show-like) or he'll babble on when the autocue gets stuck. I wont give away the ending but I was rolling on the floor in hysterics."

Sigh, imdb have realised and removed the offending page. I have saved it (somewhere I think) and I will upload it soon.
