No, you're thinking of the other one.

Well, we've established that the 90s weren't really his decade, judging from the wave of recollections of him I've triggered here...

Wasn't he the teenage standup whizkid who _nearly_ got a presenter job on "The Word"?

Bloody hell, yes -- what *did* happen to him? No helpful suggestions, sorry, but I second your curiosity.

(btw, for those wondering who he is -- he's the son of John Langdon, Rory Bremner's longtime scriptwriter/editor. He was also the star Channel 4's 'Teenage Health Freak'. And was at one point Britain's second youngest stand-up or something.)

There was a documentary on him for kids TV in about 88 or 89. He really was billed as quite a find, but I think I was most impressed by the fact that he had a poster of Jerry Sadowitz on his wall.

For what its worth, I saw him live at Malcolm Hardee's tunnel club show at the Edinburgh Festival in 1989. A boy speaking a man's words on stage, and everyone in the audience looking at his mother in the front row.

Child stand up is just wrong.
