I'm going with this subjectr Ohanraohanrahan! I think Skinner is the campest heterosexual in the business and I love him. Plus Graham Norton (most times). And John Hegley is an extraordinary live performer, plus....oh God - I'll name more once this thread is a little more evolved.

I think the League of Gentlemen are exceptional.Not only are they versatile and extremely competant performers both live and on TV,they write all their own material.
This as we know is rare in comedy,even the Pythons werent great actors(check out Cleeses terrible American accents) and although The Not the Nine O`clock News was well acted, the cast wrote little of it. The Goons relied on poor old Milligan to deliver the goods,scriptwise.This I hasten to add is no crime on any part, but can anyone come up with another comedy group that could act and write this well.
Beyond the Fringe maybe? The Black Abbots?.
