If Carlton buys HTV, do you think it's name will change to Carlton Wales, or have Carlton learnt from the Central/Westcountry mistake?

I wonder would Carlton have dared to change HTV's name last year had it owned the franchise then? I would imagine the Welsh in particular are pretty proud of HTV Wales.

Carlton was lucky when it changed the names, as it could keep the words 'Central' and 'West Country' as descriptions of the regions (Central England and the West Country) and in the news programme titles.
The same rationale does not apply to HTV Land.

I think they'd be bonkers barmy to change HTV to Carlton, especially if the rumours about the resurrection of Central and Westcountry are true.
And having Carlton West as well as Carlton West Country would be very confusing.

there is aleredy a carlton westcountry so what would HTV West be called??? Also I cant see people in Wales being happy witth their name changing to I presume Carlton Wales.Any English region maybe but not Wales, as HTV is the onnly ITV franchise in Wales and they have been used to the name HTV for att least 30 years.So they darned change it now do they???

Speaking as a person from Wales, I am proud to have HTV as my ITV broadcaster and so are many others.
