Granada Continuity Posted Fri Jul 28 00:14:55 BST 2000 by maxi

Ive noticed recently that all the announcers on Granada seem to be women. There is the one who nearly has a lisp andd sounds older and about 3 others who are younger including one ive never heard before. I say bring back the men

Yeah but the only bloke working permanently at Leeds sighed his way through announcements. So we wouldn't want him back, would we?

I've heard that Granada want to make continuity on their stations "more regional". Something's certainly up again at Leeds, wonder what they're up to?

No way. I know the announcers at Meridian personally and none of them have worked at either Granada or YTV.

Don't get me started on Tyne Tees continuity James, it was friendly and familiar with in-vision announcers and then... March 17 1996 came along. It all stopped. <sob>

I think I know the one you mean, and he's an ex LWT who moved to Granada then moved to Leeds, before going back to LWT, not Meridian.
