>Originally Hunter&Docherty had a R4 series called 'The Bodgers' which I think was OK.
"In Other Words: The Bodgers", 4 shows April 13 - May 4 1985 on Radio 4. Infuriatingly, I had the first two on tape for a couple of years, lent them to someone and never saw them again (the person or the tapes). But it was really good, even if Barry Took did slate the show in The Listener. I particularly remember being amused by a sketch about a bloke going into a shop, buying individual items, one by one ("And a Mars bar.") until finally asking "Plus the shop". Do you remember this, Jon? I think it was in the first show. The "Clever" song by Baikie was in it too.
Then it became 'Bodgers, Banks and Sparks', which was H&D plus Morwenna Banks and John Sparkes, and it wasn't so good then.
I don't remember that being as good.
But after that they went off and became Absolutely, which was brilliant.

You're spot on there, Jon! And now, I'm off to the pub....
The radiohaha entries for these are still bollocksed, aren't they? The man who gave me the original info sounded so sure, as well... I must sort those out properly...
