Wasn't he a stand-up originally? When he started at NME he used to do long 'comedy' features, sometimes OK, which read like old stand-up routines. I always had the idea he failed at that and went in to journalism.

He works for Loaded now - and does various shit there including some of the music articles. owhere near as good as he was in the NME, of course. Loaded's shit, remember?
