The Oblivion Boys
What happened to Mark My Words? (or something like. The comedian from The Tube.)
Patrick Marber has gone on to be a successful playwright-I presume we're talking about the same person. Norman Lovett still pops up here and there, and does the occasional show. And if my memory serves me correctly, The Oblivion Boys were Nigel Planer and Peter Richardson, who are still active in the comdeee world (if co-writing Stella Street can be described as thus, in Richardson's case).
Just realised-The Oblivion Boys aren't Planer and Richardson, are they? I am thick at times. It's Frost and Arden. The last time I heard Stephen Frost was on the last series of Just A Minute. He wasn't very good. Haven't a clue about Arden though.
Craig Ferguson just wrote that movie starring Brenda Blethyn about a hairdresser or something. Can't remember what it's called.
Have heard Claire Dowie's name writing a play or two for Radio 4 - but where oh where oh where is John Dowie? Now he's underrated, I'd argue.
>Craig Ferguson just wrote that movie starring Brenda Blethyn about a hairdresser or something. Can't remember what it's called.
He was supposedly big in America or something. Playing a gay hairdresser, no doubt.
Norman Lovett had a show called i lovett possibly, but now is back on Red Dwarf.
God knows why.
Can't think of any more vague answers, so i'll go. Or something
The Brenda Blethyn film with Craig Ferguson was called Saving Grace and was about growing lots of dope in a greenhouse. No hairdressers, though.
The hair dressing film was made a while ago. Might of been called the big tease, although don't quote me on that. Anyone know?
Only me! My name is Chuff and I would like to find out if any one knows where I can put free links to my web site. The URL is: http://www.microarse.org.uk my e-mail is [email protected] Cheers> Regards Chuff
Sod off chuff!
