>Radio series by Deayton, Perkins, and rock writer Jeremy Pascall. One series, spoof history of rock'n'roll, on GLR in the 80s I think. I didn't hear it, but I found the spin-off book in a library and it was brilliant. Apparently the series won an award. Anyone actually hear it?
It was on Capital Radio, about 86-87, I think. I got the book for Christmas in 1987 and it was hysterical. A friend from college managed to get at least one show on tape (on punk rock) - I now have a copy, and it's very funny indeed. (Deayton's then girlfriend, Stephanie De Sykes, is in it!)

Guilty as charged - I was that punk episode donator. I listened to Capital a lot in my youth - it had quite a bit of talk based stuff then. Uncyclopaedia was preceded by a pop quiz show called You Ain't Heard Nothing Yet (shortened to YAHNY - as in 'YAHNY's Barmy Army') which also featured Angus Deayton and pop meister Jeremy Pascal along with Phil 'Whoosh' Swern (not sure on spelling of that.) The Uncyclopaedia was very funny indeed - and every show ended with that bloke who does the Reeves and Mortimer voiceovers saying 'Next Week - The Interesting Years' over the disco version of the Star Wars theme. Chris Barrie was on the episode I have, and Jan Ravens.
After this Capital did a music/comedy show called CFM featuring a spoof sports reporter called Jim Nike who was very like Alan Partridge (although some years before) Does anyone remember this? Does anyone have any Uncyclopaedias on tape?
