Never seen them. Funny? Good? On TV soon? Too chummy with the stars to actually satirise them effectively (a la French and Saunders)? Or what?

Supergirly are two Australian women whose entire cabaret act seems to comprise of parodying contemporary pop songs in the charts a la Barren Knights/Heebeegeebees.
They are very good singers(especially the blonde,Louise)and are promoted well.
They are Mainstream with a capital....Half the work is done for them as the artists/numbers they pick to pastiche are crowdpleasers anyway. They merely take a chorus etc and change a lyric to something inappropriate that rhymes.Thats it.(*see Vindictive Lewis Smiths comments on Jim Davison presents topic)
Its like French and Saunders with their hugely budgeted hit and mostly miss, movie parodies. I know it can be hilarious to see popular culture being parodied ,look at the Simpsons, Lee and HerringsExtra Final Film Scenes or some of Spitting Images pop piss takes, but when an entire career is based on this device,(or the majority of a comedy series. F+S)then its lazy ,safe and conservative.Supergirly: Probably will be massive then.

Quite right too :) The Nualas, in a just world, would be having the same amount of exposure that these two annoying characters are currently receiving, if not more. Go and see The Nualas at your earliest opportunity. You owe it to yourselves.

They are actually quite funny - the only problem is the scope of their stage show is limited and after an hour of pop parodies the gag wears a trifle thin to say the least.
