>He was a genius. What else can we say?
Just like that!
They re0-showed his best bits when Thames was closing down in 1992 and when Carlton was starting in 1993 i think or it could have been late 1993 i can't remember but ITV should re show his shows on LWT instead of Blind Date, You've been framed or Stars in their eyes
Not to be morbid or anything, but did anyone actually see him die? If so, what was your reaction, since everyone else laughed at thought it was a joke?

I saw it - 15th April 1984 on Live From Her Majesty's with Tarby. And yes, I did laugh...well, to begin with, because you never quite knew what he would do next. It was only when the laughter abated, and the curtains closed (his feet were sticking out under the curtains - very undignified) that I, along with everyone else, thought "oh no".
Fair play he was brilliant, but whenever they show the Thames compilations they make the mistake of showing far too many sketches which he clearly had no hand in writing, and far too many appearances by David Hamilton.
Still, any compilation's better than nothing. Come on ITV, pull your bloody fingers out...
Cheers for that
I'm not really sure about him myself - i've never really seen much of it. From what i've have seen he seems funny but unfortunatly my parents like him so that means i must despise the man.
I'm at that stage.
