Are two heads better than one? Posted Sat Jun 10 08:51:40 BST 2000 by Sorrel

With the success of Baddiel and Skinner Unplanned would it be fair comment that double acts are better than single stand-up, at least when you go to see them live?

OK, before anyone jumps down my throat, I know there are/have been some truly atrocious twosomes, but assuming the talent is there in the first place, isn't there something to be said for double acts? Interactions between the two can give a sense of spontaneity that is sometimes lacking in even the best solo performers by the end of a long tour.
