The 11 o clock show VS The Daily Show With Jon Stewart

I would be interested to know if anyone has seen the Daily Show with Jon Stewart (showingon Comedy Central here, and with the way American shows are bought in bulk by British companies, I'd be amazed if it hasn't shown up *somewhere), and if so, what they thought of it compared with The 11ocs. In my opinion, they're much of a muchness.
Lon Stewart is a far better choice of 'anchor' than either Daisy Donovan or the-other-one-whose-name-i-forget. He actually has the ability not to look like he's reading an autocue. occasionally. News stories are very much in the style of The Onion ( http://www.theonion.com/ ) - in fact, I suspect that someone has a foot in both camps - but very very very dumbed-down. It's made me laugh more than the 11ocs has, (obligatory corpses-style comment: although that's not difficult) if only because someone fell off a chair once. With hilarious consequences!*
So... I'd like to know if I'm alone here in having seen The Daily Show, and if not, could it have been brought from the same concept whence came the 11ocs, but better implemented?
Oh, and in the right light, Jon Stewart looks a bit like Iain Lee.
