Adam Bloom

I haven't see him live, but I did switch on halfway through something on C4, a sort of comic documentary about him, that had clips of his stand-up act interspersed with interviews with a star-struck girl fan, who became his girlfriend. It followed the story of him going to meet her family, getting introduced as a comedian, failing to make them laugh... I wasn't paying much attention, channel-switching during most of it. I thought the stand-up bits were pure New Lad toss, David Baddiel without the charm. Or the material.
Anyone got anything more to say about him?

Adam is one of the best live acts I've ever seen. He is thoughtful, intelligent, original and should have won the Perrier.

I saw him live a few months ago. Very energetic and very sharp. He surprised me because I thought he was useless when he appeared on that bag o' shite Bring Me The Head Of Light Entertainment on Flannel Chive. But, then again, it didn't do Graham Norton any justice, either.

Adam Bloom is one of the best stand ups in this country today. His act is one of the few acts left on the circuit that has original thoughts and doesnt rely on lazy non sequiters, wordplay, and so called surrealism.More power to him.
