Sounds Familiar? Posted Tue Jun 6 14:39:43 BST 2000 by Sorrel

I got a book catalogue today which includes a book by Carol Smith called "Family Reunion":

"With her 80th birthday fast approaching, Odile Annesley contacts her scattered grandchildren..The five grandaughters ..Then there's cousin Harry...."

Now it may just be co-incidence, but it sounds a lot like that mediocre thing Jennifer Saunders did about 10 years ago where she played all the grandaughters. It's bugging me now. Can anyone tell me what it was called so I can forget about it again. (I'm sure it wasn't "Family Reunion")

Happy Families, made as long ago as 1985. Edit News has more info.

Sorrel should check the copy carefully, Ben Elton may have cause to sue Carol Smith.

I don't care what anyone says, 'Happy Families' did have one great episode, the prison one (where Elton played the trendy new governer). The other ones had their moments. Initially I hated it, but I came to see it had some scattered merits.
