Something I've often wondered:
Apart from the 1st series of 'The Last Resort', what has JR ever done that's been any bloody good?
Every year since then, someone in TV has chucked money at him to prop up a badly thought out format: 'Incredibly Strange Film Show'(would have been OK without him), 'Saturday Zoo'(ONLY watchable element:Steve Coogan), that thing called 'Fascinating Facts' or whatever, that was also garbage.... why? Is he like Rory Bremner, someone who's been around so long everyone just accepts him as a fact of life?

He is funny on TTIAO.
From what I've seen of him on Film 2000 he seems pretty good there too.
