er no never heard of it, but while we're on the subject did anyone hear anything about a hitch-hikers guide to the glaxy movie a couple of years ago?
Blakes 7....classic series!
But not as good as...
...that other classic series which Terry Nation had a lot of involvement in!

Which one? 'Survivors' was top, but he buggered off very quickly. All his 'Dr Who' scripts were reworkings of the same 1963 Daleks script. He even admitted to this.
Terry Nation was a money grabbing chancer, and he ruined Hancock too.
Nothing wrong with wanting money, is there?
And I wasn't actually praising him, rather the series. And he *did* create one of the icons of the 20th Century.

Fair enough, but the only decent Dalek stories beyond the first one were written by different, more interesting writers. He did create them, but wore them out very quickly. A twelve part Dalek story for sod's sake. That was his fault.
He tends to come up with a good idea and then leave it with others to run it into the ground, hence embarassing later episodes of B7. Jimmy McGovern did the same with 'Cracker'. Survivors needed him so badly but he left after only a few shows. That's something he actually cared about and wasn't just writing to renovate the loft.
On the subject of money, his agent was the worst offender. Pathologically tracing any reference to said icon and demanding a fee. Needless I say.
That *was* me by the way. In a hurry!
Well, Terry nation always looks miserable in footage I've seen of him.
Strange really. Create a mythical creature, whose name gets in the Oxford Dictionary, and he was always miserable.

Quite interesting about terry nation, it seems he had his hand 'in the pot' on many projects. i know of his involvement with Survivors and Dr Who. As being a big fan of Blake 7' the last season was a let down. The only 2 episodes that were any good were
Gold' & Blake'. There is a Blake 7' on the horizon, starring Paul Darrow, if you want more info go the Blake 7' web site..
Question 1: Is the BBC going to show series two, three and four soon? They finished series one on Sat, May 20.
Question 2: Why are people saying Blake 7' rather than Blake's 7?
I know the titles do not have an apostrophe, and have written to my MP about that several times.
They'll show the rest, I suppose, even if they were getting less than a million viewers for an episode. They don't have to pay repeat fees or anything, do they, under some special deal.
Gareth Thomas told me UK Gold gave him a tenner per show. So, that's £140 for the first run of repeats since 82. Casualty bit-parts forever beckon...
They're sure to carry on showing them because the world has to see the Space Rats again from season four. And a dummy of Soolin falling off a cliff.
The best of the later episodes are 'Gold' and 'Sand'. Never a huge fan of the show, so I'm not going to hammer the point. Those gave me the most pleasure.
Well, I've never seen an episode at all.
Beat that!
I'd imagine you'd have to be an old git of around 30 to remember Blakes' 7
I've never felt the need to watch an episode, really.
