Marber's current venture

Hello
I was tricked into going to see a play that Patty Marber was starring in. It was called "Speed-The-Plow" and was billed as being exceptionally funny.
It wasn't.
Marber and some other bloke had really terrible American accents which were painful to listen to. Also, Marber corpsed near the beginning thus becoming the only person to genuinely laugh throughout the entire production.
Avoid at all costs, my friends.

'Speed The Plow' is by David Mamet, who is really brilliant, although I haven't seen that particular work, so I guess it must be PM letting the show down.

I haven't seen STP either (probably just as well, really, by the sound of this production) but I love Glengarry Glen Ross and American Buffalo. You see, Marber - there's a playwright for you!
