I was just wondering if it would be better if new topics appeared at the top of this list rather than the bottom.

Certainly possible. Basically this forum is modelled on the old Channel 4 one (originally ripped off for the cakeshop clone), but it can be tweaked in many ways... what does everyone else think?

I could just make the subject listing go straight to the bottom of the page on loading...

That listing threads in updated order is rubbish. The Blue Room does it, and it's in a right old mess.

I say leave it how it is, with new topics at the bottom. It's how I was brought up (in the Cakeshop), and to change it would mess with my fragile little mind.

Yeah the Blue Room lists threads in the order they were last posted in and its a nightmare, the girls room has something like 1600 threads (its only been open for 3 weeks) and it's damned hard to keep track if you don't go in there every 10 minutes!

How long is a topic on here before it's consigned to the "Old Topics" list. Or is it to do with the length of time since it was last up-dated, or something else?

At the moment this forum has it set to 10 days before it's moved to old, and 20 days before it's removed altogether.

It probably should be reduced now we're a bit more busy though!
