In 'Edit news', 'The Mrs Merton Show', "Arnhalgm" should be spelt 'Arnhem'. Also "Montecassino" is correctly 'Monte Cassino' - incidently, Spike Milligan fought at that battle.

While you're at it, why not add a short piece correcting Manning's ill-informed comments about Commonwealth forces, ie. pointing out that they fought at major battles in Asia and Africa? Even Garry Bushell was appalled by Manning's ignorance (check his review, which would have been in The Sun on the Wednesday after the show. Also see Jaci Stephen's comments in The Guardian, same period. There was a feature on Right to Reply as well).

To-day on Grandstand, during the cross country running, the word KILOMETERES appeared instead of KILOMETRES. Seems the BBC can't spell french words either
