I prefer dogs to children. If you don't like a dog you can give it away or have it put down. Moreover if you have one of each sex you can breed them and sell them. You try doing that with children and you'll find some do-gooder spouting the law. Dogs are also more faithful and if they get picked up by the police you don't have rush up to the police station. You can leave them over night - brilliant!

On plus-side for children, I suppose they do have better breath. Still...
