Guardian Weekender Articles
Lovers of intelligent comedy were pretty spoiled in the mid-90s. In addition to the opportunities afforded that decade's New Wave to splash about the shores of TV and radio, there were also constant invites to contribute to The Guardian's 'Weekender' Column.

These humourous essays - from the likes of Stewart Lee, Richard Herring, Peter Baynham, David Schneider, Rebecca Front, Ben Moor, Mark Gatiss, Simon Munnery, etc - have never been republished since. A terrible shame since they usually made for pretty great reading.

We don't have a complete set (yet) but here's a nice selection at least, as shit-quality scanned gifs, mostly snipped from the Guardian archive site.
