Yes, the Motherbanger song was a brilliant Pixies send up, but no, CM did not phone up Steve Wright. Morris was in Wayne Carr mode and along with the chinnywag chapter, discussed mini CDs and the Polish ice hat melting. Cockadoodledoo!
Yes, it was a Chris Morris tape, you can get mp3's of it here:

The Pixies parody is class.
He also did an article in "Select" at the time, where he phoned various venues pretending to be Guns'n'Roses tour manager.
It may well be appearing on Cook'd And Bomb'd soon...
Fingers crossed...

One of the greatest things I ever read in a magazine.
Hey TJ. Just read the 'Blue Jam Volume 2' thread. Didn't realise you were part of the Cook'd and Bomb'd team. Keep up the good work!
And put those 'I'm Stuart Hall' songs back up. Please.
I believe that Neil, the site mainman, has now regained net access after a lengthy custody battle, and will be uploading all the currently missing files imminently...

One of them can be found at http://web.ukonline.co.uk/soundfoundation/ The other is probably in the midst of one of Dave's drunken stupors. Neil will have a copy of it, though.

Thanks. That's made my night.
There was a phone call windup on the flexidisc, but it wasn't to Steve Wright, it was to Piers Morgan, erstwhile editor of the News Of The World, while he was still the Sun's showbiz hack. Morris pretended to be both Paul McGuinness (U2 manager) and Bono, in a ludicrously unconvincing Irish accent that the cretin Morgan swallowed whole.

Sorry, I forgot to change the links to the new filespace for those two mixes. Fixed it now! Grab em from the musiwrong section on http://www.cookdandbombd.co.uk
Tj's done a whole bunxh of brilliant features for the website, and we'll have those online soon.
