Can't remember the last time I saw so many people smoking on tv. Bastards, I want a fag now....
>Oh, and I kinda fancy Victoria Coren.
I was on the fence on that one, but she just leaned forward (the most exciting bit of the programme so far, by a long way), and suddenly I fancy her too. Ah, I'm so shallow...
Choice quote:-
"It looks like Gervaise-on-Fry action..."
Oh I didn't realise it was back. I'll have to tune in.
Good morning.
Reflecting on my last message, Celeb Late Night Poker wasn't that bad really. I was just over-tired. There was some genuine exitement, notably when a Queen turned up, beating Patrick Marber's potentially winning hand. I could have wept, I really could! Still, it was great to see Stephen Fry beat Ricky Gervais! Ha ha ha!
Re: my remarks towards my infatuation of Victoria Cohen.
Ignore it. You never read that message. Walk away from the forum. Nothing to see....
By a Queen turning up, I don't mean Danny La Rue arriving by stretch limo! No, I really don't, I mean a card, of course.
[please note that this post is meant to be in a humourous vein, and that I am not a complete idiot]
Victoria Coren is rubbish. OK, so she's just another rubbish hack journo, but she's even worse because she had her own column in the Daily Telegraph when she was 16, and it was shit, and she appeared on Wogan alongside William Hague, and she was shit, and she was in the Oxford Revue, which is generally shit but it was worse when she was in it, I'll bet. She deserves to be a regular TVF hate figure.
Is she the daughter of Alan Coren, ex-Punch editor and Call My Bluff Captain?
Yep.
And brother of Times columnist Giles.
That's how she got where she is.
A columnist on the Evening Standard - my, how she's conquered the world.
Bet I get paid more than her. Heh heh heh.
She likes Chris Morris though. In a recent ES she said that he should have been in the BFI top 100. As did most people on this forum.
As for people this forum hates, do we have a complete list; there's Dave Gorman, Victoria Coren, Iain Lee, Ricky Gervais, The Evil Jim Yoakum (not the new one, he's nice)....
Any more?
Nele Morisey?
Victoria Coren was also a child stand up comedian at the Edinburgh Festival about 12 years ago (in a show with Alex Langdon if I remember rightly). Don't we all just love child stand up comedians.
I heard about that... was she any good?
If not, please go into detail.
Victoria Coren - nope. Don't think she's funny. Or talented. Her brother isn't either. Her dad is, though.
He's got a new book out called (tee hee) The Cricklewood Tapestry. I saw it today and it had a pic of King Harold being shot in the eye, surrounded by shopping Cricklewood inhabitants. Isn't this a touch tasteless? Imagine if it had been a pic of Princess Di's crashed car surrounded by Cricklewood caricactures. Just cos it happened 300 years ago, doesn't mean someone hasn't died.
What on earth am I on about? It's an Alan Coren book! Who cares?!?

What's wrong with Dave Gorman? I thought his Edinburgh show was pretty good. Explain please.
There's another Coren (male) writing a column in the Times - it's a load of cunt, obviously. The one I read was basically a winge about the fact that some celeb had cancelled an interview because she didn't like him. Understandable.
Dominik (bet that 'k' haunts him now his go' nae hair) Diamond was a teenage standup, wasn't he?
isn't victoria coren shagging (or even living with) harry thompson, producer of hignfy and biographer of peter cook?
