I can confirm that she is (was?) vegetarian, small and listening to David Bowie's 'Heroes' on her walkman. This was 1993, I think; she'd just split up with Hughes at the time (there was an article in a Sunday supplement). Hughes used to call her Babette.

Beth Buchanan played 'Gemma Ramsey' in neighbours according to imdb. It was 1990-1. I vaugely remember her.

Well, I didn't know she was a comic. She was just small and quiet.

The reason you didn't know she was a comic is because she isn't one - never has been either. I think somebody has the whole Mark Little thing mixed up here - it's him who was a mainstay of the Australian stand up scene.

Ah, now that wasn't me, though. My mate knew her flat mate and asked if I'd go out with her 'cos she was single and lonely and I said yeh ('cos I was single and lonely and still am). Anyway, she moved out of the country. Which is actually a less severe reaction than some of my other ex-s. I probably PR'd it all up a bit at the time, but then there's not many people who can say that they've been asked out by Natalie Imbruglia, eh? (Technically, including me, of course.)
