You're thinking of James Harries
>You're thinking of James Harries
Thankyou, Anon. Yes, you are thinking of James Harries (no relation). I know nothing about antiques, have never had curly hair, and don't think I've ever been parodied, except by my mates down the pub.
Other than a Welsh ancestry, the only thing I have in common with James Harries is a terrible dress sense, so these days I wear only black. But that makes me look like some comedy vicar in the style of Wilfrid Hyde-White. Anyway, I'm very flattered that someone's started a thread about me, even if the intention was non-flattering....
Blimey. Would you believe I've been asked to go on a radio show talking about classic TV when I clearly don't know my arse from my elbow?
The reason I asked, aksh, is 'cos one of my mates has all of the Wogans on video. Coulda sorted out a screengrab or something.

Oh sorry, do you work for Sky? When I spattered them with my tarring brush last night I wasn't thinking of anyone in particular.
I've no idea who you are but I'm sure you do really know your arse from your elbow. You wouldn't have been invited to discuss classic TV otherwise - do you ever get accused of being a nerd? I frequently do. Probably with good reason...
Simon done:

Ha, no I don't. But thanks for your concern.
>I've no idea who you are but I'm sure you do really know your arse from your elbow.
Well, I was actually being self-deprecating, I wasn't having a go at anyone. But I laughed a hollow laugh when I realised the irony of being invited as an expert when I can't even remember the name of a famous guest on Wogan (and when I only saw that particular episode a few months back).

Yeh. I find it increasingly hard to have pub conversations about TV now. People don't like a know-all, do they? Still, I don't like people much!

Simon, can you email me please - I've lost your address...! Cheers
