Pop-Up Video Posted Mon Jul 17 10:34:50 BST 2000 by Squigy

Ddid anyone see Pop-Up Video at 2:10am Ssunday Morning on Channel 4? (Yes, I know...)
It said that Newman and Baddiel spoofed Shakespear's Sister's 'Stay' video (apparantly they replaced Shioban Whats-her-name-you-know-she-was-in-Bananarama's voice with a fog horn) and Shioban's husband Dave Stewart (of The Eurithmics) got really angry. And then he saw Dave Baddiel in a resturant and threated to beat him up. My question is: Why didn't he??? What a wasted opportunity!

P.S The funny lines in Chicken Run were written by the writers of The Peter Principle.

Er... that was French & Saunders, wasn't it?

If that's true, it was nothing to do with any music spoofs. He just wanted to beat up David Baddiel.

What do you mean, "the funny lines"? Is this how they divvied up the writing? Were all the serious lines done by the writers of 'Warriors'?

Both.

By that logic, EVERYONE would threaten to beat up David Baddiel in a restaurant.
Not a bad idea.....

What has David Baddiel done? I mean, try and keep a sense of proportion, he doesn't deserve to be beaten up. I mean, Bobby Davro, perhaps.

You're all wrong. There are no funny lines in Chicken Run, or the Peter Principle.

Baddel turns to Newman (who is the foghorn one) and says "What exactly do I pay you for?"
