I had a thing for Carla Mendonica, who appeared in Children's BBC's sketch show "Fast Forward". In the last episode she wore an 18th Century low-cut top dress. I remember feeling "funny" afterwards.
I used to fancy Sabrina Franklin in 'Full House' - God knows why, I was 15 at the time I suppose. The one who played Maria in 'Allo 'Allo was a bit of alright. Come on Justin - help me out - you *must* have some suggestions for this one!

Really didn't want to open such a can of worms...ah well. For reasons I really don't want to go into here: Penelope Wilton in Ever Decreasing Circles, yes Sabina Franklyn (she's married to Boycie in Fools & Horses, you know), and Diana Canova who played Corinne Tate in Soap, and who was never heard of again.
More if I think of them...
I reckon this is an exclusively male thread - I can't think of any fanciable blokes in old sitcoms.
When I was eleven, I used to fancy Howlin' Mad Murdoch out of the A-Team, if that counts...
Pam Dawber (Mindy), Cheryl Hall (Shirley: Citizen Smith), Lynda Baron (Nurse Gladys Emmanuel: Open All Hours), Christina Applegate (Kelly Bundy: Married With Children), Pauline Yates (Elizabeth Perrin: Rise and Fall Of...)

You're right it is difficult to recall any fanciable males in sitcoms although I did have a soft spot for the bloke who played 'Ralph' in Dear John. I suspect that was more to do with the sympathy vote though. I also liked Howard from 'Ever Decreasing Circles' and was dismayed that his jumpers were not as exciting as I remembered from my youth. When I was a nipper I was fond of Kenny Everett, Russell Harty, Kevin Keagan and both of Starsky and Hutch. I too am a psychatrists dream, possibly.

I used to love Richard Beckinsale in Porridge. I still think he was a beautiful individual.
The petite yellowcoat girl in Hi-De-Hi.
Francoise Pascal in "Mind Your Language". No question,
Jemima from Play school got me hot as did Sue from Sooty and Sweep. My mum was always having to wash my pillow.
Has to be Janet Ellis in Jigsaw. Especially when they did "O" for "Oranges" and she was Nell Gwyn.
I met her a couple of months ago and told her as much. She was very cool and still pretty gorge!
I wondering how long Mr Herring would grace this thread with his presence...!
Yes - Janet Ellis was terrific - I think she kept me watching Blue Peter for more years than was really healthy. What's she up to these days?
I dunno. Her daughter is a singer in some band, so I remember seeing once - I even think she made an appearance on Never Mind The Buzzcocks. Lamarr kept taking the piss out of her for having Janet Ellis as a mother - Blue Peter gags and such like. She's called Sophie Ellis Ward (I think!). I don't remember the group she's in, though.

Aren't they crazy guys, huh?! Mind you, the band weren't up to much either.

Sophie Ellis Bextor (I seem to remember)
I don't remember the group she's in, though.

they were called theaudience. their songwriter quit just after the release of their first album, so don't hold your breath for the second.

That line turned up in "Lionel Nimrod", and even then, I wondered how much autobiography had gone into it!
I watched "the supergrass" a couple of days ago, and jennifer saunders was a lot more fanciable than she is now.
Helen Lederer too....
Is it true that Janet Ellis was sacked from Blue Peter because she had a baby out of wedlock and they didn't want to encourage BP's audience to try this at home?
Jennifer Saunders was damned gorgeous in The Supergrass tho' but. And in The Strike where I think she played an orange-addicted (very Billy Liar) Meryl Streep.
I heard that story about Janet Ellis as well. She did make it onto the anniversary celebration BP though.
Janet Ellis was Richard Bacon'd.
Or should it be the other way round.
"Blue Peter is a family-minded show, for family minded-people. Will have no socially unacceptable (at the time) behaviour here"
Was possibly what they said.
Janet Ellis in Jigsaw & Lionel Nimrod Joke : I think Janet's Nell Gwynn dress had the same effect on me as it did Mr Herring :)
Was delighted, all those long radio-years ago, to be reminded of it.
I'm not sure she was sacked from Blue Peter though, certainly not removed from the programme's past - as she came back now and again to talk about being pregnant, and I htink they did an ultrasound scan live on the programme if I remember, to show the viewers the baby. I think this made it into one of the annuals too.. but I'd have to rummage in my parents attic to prove that bit.
